Technologies
In Digital Technologies students are provided with practical opportunities to use design thinking and to be innovative developers of digital solutions and knowledge. Digital technologies enable students to code robotics, and to design and create through our range of resources including:
- Micro:bits
- Dash and Dot
- EdiSons
- Bee Bot
- Makey Makey
- Sphero
Students learn to create, connect, collaborate, analyse and research using computers and laptops integrated with other learning areas to develop their digital literacy skills so that students are ready for 21st century expectations.
At Northam Primary School our Design and Technologies program allow students to use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce solutions for authentic needs and opportunities. Northam Primary School is beginning to introduce its own STEAM program to meet these important needs. Our vision includes making sure our students are well equipped with skills and knowledge that help them not only adapt to their future professional roles, but to thrive in their ever-changing environment.
